Safe and smell-free

There are hundreds of different materials that go into the making of an Audi and olfactory experts in the Audi Odor Team ensure that no disturbing smells are overlooked. Also known as the “Nose Team”, they work to remove or subdue the smell of the components and materials.In addition, the Odor Team sniffs out harmful smells. All parts and materials have to be analysed chemically. If certain health limits are exceeded then materials and parts have to be modified. Testing could include heating up materials to up to 65 degrees Celsius in a special component chamber for four hours.

The aim is a safe and smell-free environment since the customer should not be distracted from enjoying the comfort and the driving characteristics of an Audi.
