You know them as the dedicated team who looks after you and your Audi when you send your car for servicing. They are the friendly faces you see when you request for an individual consultation at our service centre.
You know them for their professionalism and hospitality at work but our multifaceted team also have some hidden talents.
AT WORK
Alicia has been with Audi since 2012.
“I support two service advisors by connecting with customers through calls, texts, emails or in-person. Together with the other departments, our goal is to consistently deliver customer satisfaction. I also create clear, precise documentations and invoices for each car visit.”
She had a crash course in the automotive industry when she first joined.
“Training was arduous because I had to familiarise myself with car jargon and components to fully grasp how our system creates repair and servicing invoices. I’d say it took me around three to four months to really get a hang of things.”
She takes a proactive approach to her work.
“Over the years, I’ve had to deal with customers queries from the get-go, which forced me to actively seek out knowledge in order to support them better. As a team, we constantly educate ourselves about new car features so we know how to provide troubleshooting assistance.”
She calls her Audi family her ‘second home’.
“Our team has been through some tough times and grueling moments but we always find ways to alleviate the situation and bring in more joy and laughter to our workplace.”
OUTSIDE OF WORK
Alicia is a creative at heart.
“I enjoy drawing and playing the piano. I’ve always had the knack for drawing since young. I devote a lot of time to an art piece (it can take weeks), so it becomes an intimate keepsake that’s a personal form of remembrance or expression. Drawing gets my creative juices flowing and it takes my mind off the mundane. As for playing the piano, I enjoy it more where I’m able to play my favourite songs by heart.”
One of her colleagues had no clue.
“Some of my colleagues know about my drawing hobby, and they were amazed and wowed when they saw my drawings. But I have one colleague who bluntly said I didn’t look like the artistic type!”
Drawing allows her to take a step back.
“At work, I'm constantly moving about and often in a hurry so that I can get complete tasks efficiently. A colleague once had to tell me to stop running in the office. But when I’m drawing, I am calm and at ease. ‘Own time own target’ as I like to call it.”
The Audi A5 Sportback is her favourite Audi model.
“I like its sleek design, sporty look, and the right seating capacity. But I would prefer to be in the passenger seat listening to the Initial D movie soundtrack.”
AT WORK
Sebastian joined Audi in 2018.
“My journey with Audi has been fruitful and enjoyable. At work, I work with the assigned service advisors and customer service assistance teams with their job functions and to achieve our business targets. I also attend to customer queries.”
He is constantly improving himself.
“The supportive training I receive always goes beyond my expectations. I undergo continuous training to arm myself with new product knowledge because it helps me serve customers better.”
He takes pride in his work.
“The most satisfying part of my job is knowing that our customers are pleased with our work. I enjoy building customer trust and loyalty through our aftersales services. And it’s also very rewarding when we can resolve matters amicably.”
But it wasn’t always easy for him.
“I’ve been in this trade for over a decade. It can be especially challenging in the automotive industry because the cost of car ownership in Singapore is one of the most expensive in the world, so customers have high service expectations—it wasn’t easy back then when I was just starting off.”
OUTSIDE OF WORK
He’s a motorhead after hours.
“I’m a fan of motoring and motorsports. I love performance cars and I enjoy the entire experience from the sound of the exhaust, to the speed and G-force generated. It builds discipline and focus on road safety awareness that is much needed for a back road drive. I also enjoy the comradeship I develop with like-minded friends, and our meetups are always accompanied with tasty food!”
He’s also a skilled remote control model plane enthusiast.
“I’ve loved cars since young but back then, I had no driving license then so I turned to radio controlled models. I started off with cars but due to lack of facilities available, I gradually switched to planes. I enjoy the sense of satisfaction when piloting a plane and performing aerobatic maneuvers.”
The Audi TT RS and RS 3 Sportback are his favourite Audi models.
These two models suit my motoring interests — they are powerful with good handling but not too large in size for a spirited back road drive. And if I had to drive anyone around, my dream passenger would be Michael Schumacher.
AT WORK
Joseph has been with Audi for 7 years and counting.
“I joined Audi in January 2013. I always find the learning process fun. It’s interesting to find out more about the Audi’s technology and car characteristics.”
He enjoys collaboration.
“I love learning more from my senior advisors. In my day-to-day work, my role as a service advisor involves a lot of collaboration to get work done. It’s challenging but it’s also deeply satisfying.”
He’s had one customer he’ll never forget.
“I had one regular customer who was very particular about how his car is handled. For two years, he wouldn’t let anyone else drive his car so he would not only bring the car to the service centre himself but be with his car every step of the way (including the car wash).”
OUTSIDE OF WORK
He has very diverse hobbies.
“I enjoy motorcycling and singing. I like to get on my motorcycle after a week of hard work, either to ride alone or with a group of riders. I like discovering places I’ve never been to before as it allows me to create new memories and experiences, and appreciate the beautiful places in our country a lot more.”
He’s performed on stage with celebrities.
“I picked up singing as a hobby when I was in Primary 1 when my teacher realised that I can sing well and sent me for singing competition. During my college days, I had the opportunity to play music and sing with band members, and perform on stage with celebrities David Tao and Yu Heng.”
He shares his hobbies with colleagues.
“My colleagues know about my hobbies and we often have a good time during karaoke sessions. We also sometimes go on motorcycle trips together.”
The Audi R8 is his favourite Audi model.
“I love the V10 engine sound — it’s like music to my ears! My ultimate driving soundtrack would be Viva La Vida by Coldplay and there’s no one I would rather have in the passenger seat but my wife.”
